2011 Fall Achievement Benefit

Central Pennsylvania’s premier gala fundraiser to benefit LGBT people and the LGBT Community Center will be held on November 12, 2001. The Fall Achievement Benefit (FAB) is held annually in central Pennsylvania. In its nine successful years, this glamorous event has graced the cities of Harrisburg, Lancaster, Hershey and York. FAB 2009 drew over 530 attendees to the Lancaster County Convention Center and Marriott at Penn Square, and FAB 2010 drew over 340 to the Hershey Lodge.

Membership Drive

The 2011 Membership Drive is now in progress. Your $25 membership fee supports PFLAG York and PFLAG National. The $10 for PFLAG York supports the mission of our local chapter, its support group meetings, and activities in the community. The $15 for PFLAG National helps build the capacity of the organization so that resources are available in the form of information, people, and funding to move forward in the important work being done at the national level. Remember that PFLAG’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of GLBTQ persons, their families and friends through support to cope with an adverse society, education to enlighten an ill-informed public, and advocacy to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights.
Membership forms can be downloaded from the Membership page of PFLAG website at www.pflagyork.org or you may use the form at the bottom of this memo. Copies will also be available during PFLAG meetings held at 7 pm the third Tuesday of every month in the Carriage House of the Unitarian Church, 925 South George Street, Y ork.
